Massage Candles

The Soap Box Co. has really nifty stuff ranging from buttercream frosting scented dry shampoo to "dough" that turns your bathing experience into a foaming bubble bath, and now this neat little multi-tasking candle. I received it as part of August' s freebie in the scent "creme brulee." I'm not a foodie person so it stayed on my corner of the desk of neglected items until I was feeling particularly lighter-happy today.

The candle burns quickly and the wax isn't unbearably hot like regular candles. I was nervous about using the product because of open flame and potential burning, but after a few awkward maneuvers later, I've got to hand it to the makers. It's a pretty fun product. The wax melts into a spreadable, viscous liquid that you can pour on your leg in small batches without worrying of it spilling immediately. It's not as thick as honey, nor is it as thin as water, so you have some time to work with it and spread it before gravity does its job.

There's quite a lot of product in this tin. I've used it on both my legs and arms and I've barely made a dent. The scent doesn't last long and it takes a bit longer to sink in the skin compared to other body moisturizers, so I won't be reaching for it to use as cuticle cream in its dry state. It's probably marketed towards friskier folks, but I am out of lotion and this is a fun little product. I might try other scents next time.
